Teamwork should be part of an organization's culture so as to deal with adversarial relationships as experienced in this healthcare organization. Being one of the managers in the organization, I will try to incorporate teamwork into the culture of this organization. This will involve informing the other managers of the importance of collaboration in any workplace. The managers should lead by example, if they want the other employees to collaborate with each other, it should start with them. Teamwork will help establish effective working relationships with the human resources in the prevailing conditions in the healthcare organization.
There is no time to bond at a personal level when the people are in the workplace. This is because everyone is focusing on completing various tasks. Knowing each other beyond the workplace is very critical as it creates a relationship among the employees even when they are at the workplace. For example, the employees can decide to have coffee together after work in a certain restaurant as they engage in a conversation. This will make the human resource managers and other employees enjoy working with each other hence creating an effective working relationship.
There is no perfect organization that can claim that it has a perfect which does not have conflicts. To establish an effective working environment with the human resources in the healthcare organization, I will always encourage my colleagues to solve their conflicts when they have misunderstandings. If they are unable to resolve, they can involve a third party. This may be an expert, a colleague, or a senior manager in the organization. Conflict resolution will ensure the human resource managers and the other staff remain collaborative with each other.
The adverse relationships being witnessed in the healthcare organization may be a result of managers and other employees not understanding their roles and what is expected of them. Being one of the managers, I will talk to the senior managers so that they can clearly inform each member of the organization of their roles and expectations. This will help avoid conflicts caused as a result of not knowing who is responsible for what and who is answerable to who.
The adverse working relationships may be a result of the staff not understanding the importance of maintaining good working relationships. To establish an effective working relationship in the healthcare organization, I need to inform them of how beneficial it is to the organization and to them as individuals to have a good working relationship. This will improve the way they relate will each other hence establishing an effective working environment.
