Read this comment and answer if you are agree with him like I agree with you From my understanding, trying to change others will not get one out of the box because this type of mentality is still rooted from putting one above others. If I am trying to change other people instead of embracing their differences and uniqueness, I am still coming from a space where I think I am better than others which means I am still deep in my own selfdeception and stuck inside the box. In the past few chapters, Lou was able to share his story and how he had tried to change his own son for "the better". From his perspective, he saw that his son needed to be "fixed" or in other words be changed. But he failed to see his own problems, instead he puts himself in such a high pedestal in comparison to his son. I think the moral of the story here is not about changing others, but it is about being able to have selfawareness when I am acting in a way that only puts myself in a pedestal, while not allowing anyone else to shine.
