Assignment: Writing Journal Entries based on Reflection

Weightage: $25\%$ of Final Grade Total Points: $50$

GUIDELINES AND HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS:

Reflection is a key element of all learning although it's not always done in an explicit or conscious manner. This activity gives you the opportunity to notice and consider your learning during this semester.

You can write about anything that is meaningful to you every other week. Here are some questions that may inspire your thinking:

a$)$ What concepts from the past weeks resonated with you the most?

b$)$ What employability skills did you demonstrate in the past weeks?

c$)$ Did you see examples of applying concepts of reliability and validity in relation to selection strategies by yourself or others that you'd like to share? What did you learn?

d$)$ Have you come across any other recruitment$/$selection practices that you'd like to discuss?

Requirements

$1)$ Your reflection entries should be brief but substantive. Aim for between $200$ and $350$ words for each entry, and it's to be expected that some weeks you'll have more to reflect on than others.

$2)$ You should aim to write a reflection entry every other week $$ covering week $1$ week $10$ materials$-$ to enhance your overall learning experience. $(5$ Entries Maximum$)$

$3)$ Your reflections will only be visible to you and me$.$

$4)$ I$\text{'}$m looking for two key elements in your reflection entries.

$$ I$\text{'}$d like to see some consideration of the weekly concepts taught in the course. You won't be able to write about everything you read about, but focus on a concept, framework or idea that really resonates with you and discuss why.

$$ I$\text{'}$d also like to hear about how you're prepared to apply things that you learn in the course or elsewhere about recruitment, selection, and interviewing in your future endeavors.
