Reflection about Assessment

The chapter reading this week has focused on using authentic assessment vs. standardized testing. As professionals in the field of early care and education, we have developed positions around what is and what is not appropriate assessment of young children. After you have read the chapter, choose two position statements from the links below. Read them carefully, and then compose a post that compares the two statements. Compare what you found with what we learned about in the text. Explain how you see those positions reflected in the text and in the DRDP system.
