Competency 1 Reflection: Examine principles related to human resource management.

This reflection activity is comprised of two sections collectively totaling a minimum of 500 words. Complete your reflections by responding to all prompts.

For this competency reflection, you'll investigate how effective human resource (HR) strategies can contribute to the success of a business. You'll select a business to examine, identify key HR competencies that are essential for its success, and design a compensation plan aimed at motivating employees. This task will give you insight into the critical role that HR plays in shaping a company's culture, driving employee performance, and ultimately achieving business objectives.

Choose a Business: Pick a business you know something about. It could be one you've worked at, one you've visited, or even one you're just curious about. Describe what they do, how many people work there, and what they aim to achieve. Keep it simple and clear.

Identify HR Competencies: Select 3 of the 9 competencies that you think are most important. Explain how the business you chose applies these competencies. Your goal is to make it easy to understand for someone who's not familiar with the business.The HR competencies are found in Fig. 1.3 in the textbook.

Design a Pay Plan: Imagine you're part of the HR team for the chosen business. Your task is to develop a compensation strategy for a specific role that motivates employees to excel. Briefly introduce the role. In formulating your pay plan, think about the following aspects:

• The strengths of your plan
• Possible disadvantages
• Implementation challenges
