Reflection on Specific Organizational Training and Development Topics

a) One of the biggest questions that comes up when considering management and leadership development is whether leadership skills can be developed or whether some people are simply born as great leaders. What do you think? Do you think leadership skills can be developed? Why or why not? If your workplace asked you to design your own development plan to help you develop your managerial and leadership skills, what would you include in your development plan and why?

b) You have experience in many different learning environments, including your experiences at Coast Mountain College, previous education experience, as well as work experience from current or previous workplaces and/or volunteer positions. Thinking about your experiences overall, including what you have learned about organizational training and development this semester, what have you learned about how you prefer to learn and what motivates you to learn? How do you know? How can this self-awareness about your learning preferences and motivations help you achieve your career goals? Why?
