I work as a checkpoint screening manager at the airport. I have the skills of making schedule, receiving calls, responding to emails, filling up the stock room, listening and solving the issues of others. I can use these skills as a health administrative assistant. The big difference I can feel to work as a health administrator is to understand patient's feeling and emotion because the discussion will have more delicate information. So, I should be prepared mentally for all kind of situations.

  • The similarities I have as far as attributes and skills are concerned are customer service skills, good listening skills, calm under pressure. The difference is technical proficiency.
  • I possess a great listening skills and this made people sharing their situations with me because I keep it confidential and suggest them accordingly. This made me a valuable member of the team.
  • I prepare myself for the role identified as one of my favorites that once I was very introvert person, but after realizing the pace of work environment. I started working on my communication skills. I started communicated with other teammates, neighbors and even random people. Currently, communicating with others help me relieving stress and anxiety.
  • I will prepare myself for the future role as an administrative assistant by learning how to do multitasking efficiently and time management.
