reply to discussion post, add any additional inputs to the following post: Dissatisfied employees can have tremendous negative effects on an organization and the culture of a company. Dissatisfied and unhappy employees will typically do lower quality work when compared to their happier counterparts. This will ultimately affect the bottle line and profits of an organization. Disgruntled employees will also lead to attrition that will deplete the organization of experience and provide a challenge for backfilling open positions with qualified replacements. Applying the four theories of job satisfaction could lead to happier employees and an overall healthier workplace. One of those theories is Herzbergz's Motivation Theory. This suggests there are two factors affecting employees, motivators and hygiene factors. Motivating factors include things like empowering employees by reducing supervision which could build trust in the employee, supervisor relationship. Investment in employees' education could be another positive factor that could motivate employees to perform their best at work. Hygiene factors are things like having convenient bathroom options at the workplace or having access to clean water or even the overall cleanliness of the facility. However these hygiene factors alone will not increase the motivation but not having them will decrease morale. Job characteristics model says people excel when they have things like a sense of completion seeing how their job contributes
