I am excited to explore AI's future role in healthcare and how it could transform the industry in the coming years. Overall, I believe that studying the role of AI in healthcare is a fascinating and important topic that has the potential to revolutionize the way healthcare is delivered from the top of the organization down to the patients receiving the care. $2.)$ My research topic is going to be medication shortages and the management strategies involved in managing the ongoing medication shortages within hospitals and healthcare settings. I will first explain the ongoing issue of medication shortages, why they are occurring, and why this can hurt the healthcare industry. Two areas of interest are how to budget for these shortages since alternatives will need to be found for the unavailable medications, and the allocation of resources for education and information about the shortages to both the patients and other staff. Both of these areas will need various strategic management concepts to continue to provide effective treatment options to patients. I will also discuss the ethics of using alternative medicine and how this would affect the patient's and the hospital's net costs. $3.)$ For my final paper I would like to research the topic of internal analysis and competitive advantage. One area of interest I think would be beneficial to include in this paper would be patient satisfaction. The more I learn about what patients like and don't like and why they choose to go to different facilities over others has always interested me$.$ Another point of interest I would include is employee satisfaction with the management. This is also something I find interesting to learn about how employees feel they need more or less support in certain areas from their managers. $4.)$ One topic that has really stood out to me throughout this course has been mission and value statements. I would like to do my final research paper on this topic because I would like to learn more about what all goes into creating these statements and how different organizations approach them. Two areas of interest that I would like to focus on include how organizations make their mission statements distinct over other healthcare organizations that have similar goals and how leadership goes about implementing their mission and value statements into the organization. I would also like to include some information about specific organizations in society and their missions and values that they focus on$.$ Once I address all of these particular topics I want to look more into the impact that mission and value statements have on patients and their experience with these healthcare organizations.
