Hello Dr. Tim and Classmates,

Our Site has a new Admin, she was here 4 years ago as the midnight supervisor for about 1 year as was promoted within the company and now is back at our site as the administrator. When she came back, she did not step right into the role. She let the other Admin stay on for three weeks and work with her. It's been about a month since her being the Admin fully. From the reading, her three types of power as a leader are Expert, Legitimate, and Reward. Leadership for her seems to be developed.

The new Admin Expert Power her knowledge comes not only comes from her two Master's Degrees one in Management and the other in Psychology. But the 20-plus years that she has applied them to her career. In just this short time she has shown how educated on ty looking the matters needed to know, both that the followers are confident to ask her a question and know that her response will be correct. Legitimate power is a skill set to know to whom to assign tasks to the correct person or group so that the project will be completed efficiently. Reward Power is the ability to give bonuses and raises. I think she set this up in her three works she was just watching the other Admin. She would say "People do not get a raise just for just showing." As if she would not continue the fight, they got the raises for our building.

Leadership skills with this person are developed and need more training. Management is more what she is used to. But with our influence, we will have her jumping in and being a part of the team and not just giving orders.
