$--$I would have to say when their background is not quiet or they start talking to someone else, I will suggest that they call me back at another time, or if it's family I will hang up $.$ If they really wanted to talk to me then they should make it a point to be in an area where we can both hear each other clearly, without interruptions. I also don$$t like to be left on read if the conversation was steady, but I understand that things come up and not everyone is sitting down only texting.

$2.$ What are the benefits to using digital technologies?

$--$You can pretty much speak to anyone anywhere at any time instantly. If the service is clear enough messaging, audio, or video calling can be done with ease in a short amount of time. When I was younger, I remember writing letters to my dad and waiting for him to write back, now I can send a quick text or use social media to speak to him.

$3.$ Think of a time when communicating using digital technologies failed. What happened? Why did it happen? How did you deal with the outcome?

$--$It has happened many times on different occasions, and it can be very frustrating. When I have spent several minutes on hold waiting for an important call from a business or individual only for the line to disconnect and then you must call back and wait in line. That is the most irritating thing, so I usually will wait another day to call and hope that the line is clear, and service is better.

Optional Question: Think of a time when communicating through digital technology succeeded. What happened? Why did it happen? How did you deal with the outcome?

$--$One time when I had gotten into a car accident, the neurologist that was treating me$,$ I spoke to him through a video call. It was interesting, I had never had to do that before, but because he traveled, he wasn$$t always in town. So$,$ it worked out that I was still able to explain to him my situation. Also, I didn$$t have to leave work, I took a quick break to speak to him and didn$$t have to call out of work for an appointment.
