A stroke is a sudden, life-changing event that can cause severe impairments that affect physical, mental, and emotional functioning. Unilateral weakness or paralysis, facial drooping, aphasia (difficulty speaking or understanding speech), lack of coordination, visual abnormalities, and disorientation are common symptoms in stroke patients (American Stroke Association, 2020). These problems often make it hard for people to do daily tasks, be independent, and speak clearly. It can cause lifestyle changes that lower the patient's quality of life and financial burden and emotionally affect the patient and their family. Nurses are essential for helping people with strokes and their families manage their recovery. In terms of psychology, nurses conduct evaluations for anxiety and depression, offer comfort, and encourage involvement with recovery. Nurses emotionally provide a healing environment through therapeutic communication and empathy care.

Regarding spirituality, they honor the patient's beliefs and can support them by showing spiritual rituals or obtaining spiritual support. This all-encompassing strategy is in keeping with the concepts laid out in Grand Canyon University's Statement on Human Flourishing (2022), which strongly emphasizes mental and spiritual health and physical recovery. Restoring purpose and dignity is essential to human success, and nurses play a crucial role in promoting hope, courage, and faith. Holistic patient support helps patients have a meaningful life after a stroke and helps them recover.\
