Report #1
Focus: Develop new formal hiring process (do not include the recruitment process) in a company that presently has an informal hiring process (assume). Make up a company that is a 500-person size. This involves outlining a step-by-step process. I suggest you use Google to conduct research on how to get information describing formal hiring processes. See the chapter that describes work processes. The COO notes that there is a high attrition rate, many of the new hires do not have the actual knowledge and skills per the job descriptions and new hires demonstrate bad attitudes about their jobs.
Questions

- Identify and describe the recommended approach for training hiring managers and hiring staff (who need to learn the new hiring process) before implementing the new hiring process. This section requires thorough elaboration. Explain how you would train those who need to learn about the new hiring process? This means you need to design a formal training program that includes learning objectives, instructional methods, training program subjects, and a sequence of training subjects. Assume the program lasts four hours maximum. See Chapter 10 that describes creating training programs.
- Identify and describe the method(s) and process for evaluating the effectiveness of the recommended hiring process. What methods would you use to evaluate the effectiveness of the new hiring process?
- What are your conclusions (two or more required) (This is not a summary. Conclusions can include insights learned; lessons learned; additional problems to solve, etc.)?
