Research and select a case study article on a Lean or Six Sigma improvement effort. Choose a case study that is in an industry for which you have experience or interest.

• Outline the background of the case (including a summary of the industry and environmental/contextual factors affecting the industry at the time of the case.
• Briefly (in 2-3 paragraphs) summarize what happened in the case in your own words.
• Report on how Lean and/or Six Sigma tools, techniques and approaches were used in the case. Additionally, point out any areas where you think additional approaches could have been useful, but were not mentioned in the article. Include your recommendations, citing sources from the course.
• Summarize your key points in your conclusion.
• Your paper should include 3-5 pages of content, a title page and reference page with appropriate citations for at least 3 sources (including the case study article) in APA style.
