    1. Be sure to provide a compelling introduction that draws the reader into the story. Clearly articulate the purpose for the paper. Consider providing an effective quote to begin engaging the reader. An introduction that plays on the emotions of the reader might be more gripping or persuasive. A good APA introduction provides the reason for the paper (purpose), why that reason is important (evidence), as well as the key points (outline or roadmap) to be discussed.
    2. Then, the paper should provide a synthesis of the theoretical change processes that you would use in leading organizational learning and change. At a minimum this paper should address the following questions or issues:
      1. What is your definition of organizational learning? Organizational change? Use the resources you studied in the course and locate through your research to build and support your definitions.
      2. What are the essential elements of organizational learning and change? (based upon your study in the class, what seem to be the most important pieces and processes of each?
      3. Compare and contrast learning and change perspectives. That is, how are the pieces and processes of learning and change similar? Different? How do they relate to each other?
      4. What role does organizational learning play in the change process?
      5. What is one change that seems to be needed in your current organization? What would you do as a leader to create an effective organizational change process to guide that change? Sift through the various change theories and decide on a process that you would use if you were asked to lead a change process to reach the goals set forth by the organization. Synthesize the key concepts; do not merely summarize individual theories.
      6. Why are organizational learning and change important to leadership? What talents, skills, or traits might be most important for leaders to successfully lead change?
      7. Finally, what are the most important insights you have learned from the class about how understanding organizational learning and change support the ability to be a more effective leader? How has what your learned influenced your personal philosophy of leadership?
