Research Study

Purpose:

The purpose of this assignment is create research study, including generating a research question, identifying types of variables, the population you wish to study and how you would obtain data.

Skills: The purpose of this assignment is to help practice the following skills that are essential to the success in the course:

Knowledge: This assignment will also help become familiar with the following important content knowledge in the discipline:

• Populations
• Samples
• Types of variables
• Limitations of research studies

1. Research question - state a research question for the study.
2. Variables - state your exposure and outcome variables, and if they are quantitative or categorical.If a variable is categorical, list the categories.If a variable is quantitative, list the units of measure.

In addition to your exposure and outcome variables, list three other variables for the study - one nominal categorical variable, one ordinal categorical variable and one quantitative variable.

1. Define your study population and how you plan to obtain a representative sample.Be sure to include who you plan on sampling, where and when you plan on collecting data.
2. Describe limitations of the study.
