Research Task and Letter Writing
Write a properly formatted, well designed, well-edited letter that responds to following scenario. The scenario states that the information in the letter needs to be real - based on research. Letters that are not based on research will not be graded. Please include a reference list at the end of the letter.
Post this to your Coursework Portfolio. Call it CP Task 6.2. It is up to you to determine an appropriate length for the letter. It needs to be concise but should include all the necessary information.
Choose either Scenario A OR B for your graded answer
Scenario A
You are an event manager at KVR Productions. It is post COVID, and your company arranges conventions, meetings, exhibitions, parties, etc. for its clients. One of your clients is Humber College. Humber has contacted you to get information and/or recommendations on where to hold its annual Awards Ceremony. The event includes pre-ceremony appetizers, an awards ceremony for top students and faculty, and a casual, alcohol-free reception after the ceremony. About 1000 people attend the event. Humber usually hosts the event, but they are looking to have the event off campus this year.
Write a letter to the coordinator of Humber's Award Ceremony, Amanda Sanchez, providing details on at least TWO location options. Make up the necessary details, though the information you provide must be real - based on research.
Scenario B
You are a Manager for a medium sized commercial business. COVID 19 has changed everything and is currently in the red-zone. The business is constantly adapting to the local by-laws to avoid fines, ensuring the safety guidelines for the public are met, while also trying to switch to primarily an online presence. What are the first measures you take as a small business to adapt to the changing circumstances, while making a stronger presence online and not lose all financial stability. Write an email to the 20 person staff at the company (name the company of your choice, relevant to your field) notifying them of the measures your business must take to ensure safety protocols are met. Include a proposal for 2 possible ways to adapt your business to make a stronger online presence, and a proposal for how to remain profitable in the changing times. Also notify if the staff must undergo shift changes. Make up the necessary details, though the information you provide must be real - based on research.
