Hello Professor and Class,

I think there can be a lot of reasons project management is not effective in corporations. I have experienced this in my work life with high turnover rates and the senior management never came to the office were to be stuck in the corporate office. I feel like with project management is very temporary and short lived. It seems like from what I have seen that project managers dont stick around for a long time and they are on to their next project with another company. This could happen because the project is not challenging or there is no job security with the company once the project manager has completed the task at hand. I have personally seen this is when senior management is not involved in the trenches at the ground level. This causes for projects to be stuck because they do not know what support is needed on the ground level. A project manager you must change this nd be involved at the ground level to make these projects successful. Ane example that I experienced was Google Wave. This was something put out by google for collaborators to build documents. I believe that senior management was not involved, and therefore they received low user rates and it was not continued. They also should have targeted a different audience and targeted certain businesses. There was no planning or any direction from senior level management and therefore it failed.
