VM states: Organizations should use dress codes to inform their staff about what constitutes suitable work clothing. Some businesses prefer to let staff dress freely or casually for comfort, even encouraging it. In more creative work settings, this usually works well. On the other hand, some businesses may often promote or demand a more defined and professional dress code to keep a professional image of themselves and the company, where employees routinely interact daily with prospects, clients, and business partners.
As a supervisor, I would set standards for the department regarding appropriate and inappropriate work attire. Depending on the organization, staff may not have to wear formal business attire, but employees are expected to look presentable at all times. Inappropriate clothing includes distressed jeans, low-rise or hip-hugger pants, a spaghetti strap dress unless a jacket or sweater is worn over it, shirts with writing or pictures that may be offensive, and clothing that reveals the employee's stomach or full back. Fewer dress code rules may create a higher likelihood of inappropriate dress attire that is problematic for the workplace, such as when it can pose a safety issue or negatively affect productivity (Davis, 2019).

HL states: Sexual harassment is a serious problem because there is no circumstance where it should be allowed. However, it sadly happens all of the time and it wasn't until recent years in my opionion where people have spoken up about the abuse they have gone through. It is seen as a serious issue because most people think they will be ridiculed if they were to speak up about their experience, the victims fear instead of their predator suffering the consequences of their actions it will actually be them who suffers because of serveral reasons. One of the reasons being it could be a popular person who assulted them and in the public's eyes it is ubelievable, another reason is in some cases if it happens between cowrokers the comany thinks it would be easier to let go of the victim so as to not raise scandal attention. Sexual harassment has become a widespread problem because there are so many outcomes that can happen from a claim, in some cases the predator is held accountable, in other cases the actual incident is swept under the rug, in some cases the victim even allows it to continue because they are in a situation where they feel if they speak up it can get worse for them. Sexual harassment has become a serious and widespread problem because it does happen but there are people who feel it is not safe to speak up and let the harrassment continue so as to not cause problem and it affects the person in so many ways. There are some places that enable that kind of unacceptable behavior and trying to stop it is more difficult than to prevent it.

MCL: Sexual harassment is a serious problem because it creates a hostile environment for the victim. Sexual harassment is a widespread problem, as it's not limited to just the workplace but can happen at school, on the street, or anywhere. Sexual harassment in the workplace is the most common form of harassment and remains an unresolved issue. Those who experience sexual harassment can suffer from depression, substance abuse, stress, and an overall feeling of being unsafe at work. The negative consequences of sexual harassment not only affect the victim but also have high financial costs for organizations. Workplace harassment causes low productivity, high turnover, and large payouts.
