1) For IR spectra: discuss the main peaks above 1500 cm^-1 that prove the reaction was successful. For example, you can discuss the carbonyl signal shift when comparing reactants and products, the alcohol stretching signal disappearance in the product spectra if an alcohol, for instance, is transformed into an ester, etc. At least one main product signal should be discussed.

2) For NMR spectra: include the position, integration and multiplicity of every new peak not present on the reactant spectra that prove your synthesis was successful.
