SKU Growth 5% per annum. Design timeline 5 years Current Products (non-peak) 5,000 SKUs o Pallet area (60% of SKUs) (Hint: calculate pallet spots required) Each SKU has 1 picking location (pallet spot) plus an average of 5 storage spots. Each pallet is Standard US (40 x 48) built 48 inches high.

o Shelving area (30% of SKUs) ((Hint: calculate volume of shelf space required) Each SKU has an average dimension of 12x18x10 and an average quantity holding of 20 items, no replenishment locations.

o Bulk area (10% of SKUs) (Hint: calculate floor footprint space required)

Each SKU has an average dimension of 5x6x8 (LxWxH) and an average quantity of 4 items, no replenishment locations.

Double the footprint floor space to allow for access (aisles).

Storage:

Pallet Racking - 5 pallet levels high, 96" bay width (2 pallets), and depth is 42" with 8" gap between back-to-back racking (see picture in excel template). Assume 200 foot lengths of racking and 13 aisle width. o Shelving - 10 foot high, 48" deep, configurable shelves. Assume 4 foot walkways between back to back shelving units. Assume 50 foot lengths of shelving
