Scenario

The manufacturing manager should be able to create purchase requests, which specify the items needed, the quantity, the delivery date, and the department making the request. Before that, they need to identify the need for goods. This can be triggered by factors such as inventory depletion, project requirements, or new initiatives.

The procurement team should be able to review all purchase requests and approve or reject them.

Once a purchase request is approved, the system should generate a purchase order, which is sent to the vendor. To accept the purchase, request the procurement team needs to receive the budget approval from the finance manager as well.

The system should track the status of all purchase orders, including whether they have been delivered and whether they have been paid for. Once the purchase order is sent to the supplier, the procurement team needs to monitor the fulfillment of the purchase order, ensuring that the supplier delivers the goods or services following the agreed terms and conditions.

Then they receive the goods or services delivered by the supplier and inspect them for quality, quantity, and compliance with the specified requirements. Finally they need to notify the finance department to process the supplier's invoice for payment and release the payment to the suppliers.

The system should allow the employees to view the status of their purchase requests and purchase orders.
