With your $2NF$ tables, draw dependency diagrams for each, which should

be all total dependencies as well as a transitive dependency $($only $1$

transitive dep.$).$

Third Normal Form $(3$NF$).$

Using the transitive dependency you identified in $2NF,$ create a new table

to eliminate the transitive dependency $($with the determinant $($PK$)$ and

dependent field$).$

Make sure to leave the determinant field from the transitive dependency

in the original table, as it is now a FK referencing the PK of the new

table.

Write the relational schemas for the $3NF$ form $(4$ tables, so $4$ schemas$)$ as

well as the dependency sets for the TWO tables are new$/$changed$.$

With your $3$NF tables, draw the dependency diagrams for ONLY the TWO

tables that have been created$/$changed from $2NF.$
