Section C - Performance Activity Task 1 (Written)

As a workplace activity (or simulated workplace activity), you should perform the following activities during a work shift (in restaurant/ cafe):

1. As a workplace activity (or simulated workplace activity), establish (make assumptions) a complete work health and safety system that covers: a) Facilities for the welfare of employees, e.g. Toilet and change rooms, canteen, pantry and staff break room b) Management of incident and accidents within the working environment, including when notification is required to work health and safety government regulators c) Health and safety information, workplace instructions, supervision and applicable training for employees d) Working systems and premises which are safe for all to use. (Tips: describe clearly the WHS practices and procedures in your workplace for those 4 areas)

2. Evaluate the system that you have created and assess if any improvements could or should be made; ensure you have documented your work. (Tips: identify those WHS areas that are not up to safety standard, and suggest specific action to improve so that safety standard can be enhanced)
