select a (well-known) case that has been concluded with the defendant being found to be not guilty by reason of insanity or that has been found to be guilty but mentally ill. After reading the chapter, you should see that these two terms (although frequently used interchangeably) are not one in the same. They are two completely different topics and present two entirely different outcomes for the accused. For the case that you select: Post this to the forum along with an explanation as to how/why that case ended in the manner that it did. What happened to the accused? Are they "cured" of their mental disorder? Still incarcerated? Living back in society etc
