Red Fishs head office, located in Johannesburg, is considering a proposal for acquiring the Cape Town Fish Market (CTFM) restaurant chain in the Western Cape. Head office wants you to prepare a high-level regional presentation looking at the pros and cons of merging with CTFM on an operational level.

Your assignment must be completed in the MS PowerPoint template, which can be downloaded from the Module Downloads folder on the OLC.

Your MS PowerPoint assignment consists of nine slides, together with the accompanying notes pages below each slide. On each notes page below each slide, you are required to write what you will say in the presentation to the senior management of Red Fish, i.e., an explanation of the bullet points listed in the slides.

The content of your presentation (the nine slides) will address the following five areas:

1. The new philosophy and strategy of the merged company;
2. Impact of acquisition on company processes;
3. Location, layout and capacity considerations;
4. Incorporating and managing people into the new company;
5. Impact of the acquisition on Red Fishs aggregate planning and scheduling approach;
6. Operational risks of the acquisition;
7. A final recommendation on whether or not the acquisition should proceed.

Each slide should have no more than five numbered points, and a maximum of two lines per point.

For the purposes of this assignment, you can use a maximum of 7-12 slides (this allows for discretion on certain areas you may need more space/time to explain).

The notes pages below each slide should include what you would say to management in your succinct presentation in support of each point. The content of these brief notes would explain what should be done on operational level to support the acquisition of this new company.

Ensure that your dialogue in the Notes Pages is numbered and corresponds with the number of the point in the slide. Remain within the 20-line limit for your notes.
