SIMULATION SYSTEMS
1. Choose a system and describe it. Describe the components of the system which include: entities, attributes, events, and performance parameters of the system (state of system) for each system activity of the selected system. Draw and explain the conceptual model.
2. Simulate activities on the system using a spreadsheet/Ms. Excel (or use a simulation program). Assume (and describe) the input data used. Please make a simple system (sub-system). If the system being observed is a complex system, for example: a system at an airport which includes "self check-in", "drop baggage", "loading - unloading baggage", "passanger boarding" activities, etc., then you can choose one of sub-systems in the complex system, for example choosing to simulate only "self check-in" activities. Run the simulation for (minimum) 5 times of replication with the number of transactions (minimum) 100 (if the simulation is using a spreadsheet).
3. Analysis of performance measures based on simulation results (at least 3 performance measures). Examples of performance measures include: average waiting time, probability of server being idle, daily profit, average processing time, maximum time in the system, and so on.
4. Perform a validation test based on the results of the replication using the t-test method.
