Social networking is basically using web-based tools to interact with other people through media. Some famous social networking websites include: Facebook, Digg, Flickr, Linkedin, Youtube..etc. MyBook represents a startup consisting of a group of 5 students who have decided to create a social networking website because facebook no longer satisfies their experiences. MyBook decides that they will focus on just a few requirements and build on these in the future. They are planning to release a beta version in the next couple of weeks. They have decided to approach this venture in three phases. Phase 1 will focus on the design of MyBook. In Phase 2, the plan is to focus on the back-end structure. Finally, Phase 3 will involve the creation of a web or mobile front-end to the database. The basic requirements that will be focused on are as follow: 1. Creation of users through registration 2. Users should have a profile 3. Users should be able to modify their profiles. Users should be able to add photos and choose one as their profile picture. 4. Users should be able to add friends. These friends should fall in different groups. (Relatives, School, Work). 5. Users should be able to create Posts (text/images) and only friends should see these posts and comment on these posts. 6. Users should be able to create a group. The creator should be able to add content editors to his/her group. Only these persons can post in the groups. However, anyone can add themselves to these groups so that they can be able to see posts in these groups. Part 1 Draw an E-R diagram for the above application. Make sure that you state any assumptions that you made and any information that could not be captured in the diagram. You are free to add any additional information that you feel may be useful for this application. However, you must state why you choose to do so. Bonus points will be assigned for any useful entities proposed. Convert the E-R diagram into a set of relations/tables. (NB: Do not attempt to normalize your tables at this time.)
