'Gaermont manufactures two types of products (A and B).

The manufacture of both products requires two operations.

The first operation is carried out in department No. 1. The manufacture of product A requires 3 hours in the first operation while product B requires 4 hours in this same operation.

The second operation can be carried out in either department 2 or department 3.

The necessary production time in department 2 for each unit of A is 3 hours; for each unit of B it is 6 hours.

If department 3 is used, the production time for each unit of A is 8 hours and for B is 10 hours.

There are 3'000, 3'600 and 5'000 hours of production time available in the respective departments.

The labor costs associated with the three departments are: Department 1: $ 6.00 per hour Department 2: $ 8.00 per hour Department 3: $ 5.00 per hour.

Gaermont has a maximum demand of 500 units for Product A and 500 units for Product B.

The selling price for Product A is $ 150, and the selling price for Product B is $ 220.

The raw material cost for product A is $ 32, and for product B it is $ 50.
