SOP for unit A

Develop the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for starting up Unit A, B \& C: For all units: a) Assume the pump has been primed. b) Pump will trip when level of tank goes below 20%. c) Assume status of all valves are unknown. SOP must include steps to verify valve status. d) SOP must be written inaccordance to the rules of thumbs for safety, reliability and operability. For Unit A: Normal operating flow rate through cartridge filter is 2000L/h. When flow stabilizes, your procedure then instructs the technician to divert all flow from the cartridge filter to the carbon filter and maintain flow at 2000L/h. For Unit B: Assume pump minimum flow is 1000L/h. V4 is fully opened during normal operation. Normal operating reject flow rate is 2000L/h. Permeate and reject flows should be collected in their respective tanks. For Unit C: Normal flow rate through the charcoal filter and UV unit is 1000L/h. All discharge flow from the charcoal filter should be routed through the UV unit. V1 is fully closed during normal operation
