3. Calculate nutritional value of cake using nutrient analysis program.
CHOCOLATE CAKE
1 2/3 c flour* 1 c water
1 c brown sugar 1/3 c oil
c cocoa 1 tsp vinegar
tsp salt tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda c semisweet chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350F. Mix flour, brown sugar, cocoa, salt, baking soda with fork in an ungreased 8x8x2 inch square pan. Stir in remaining ingredients except chocolate chips. Sprinkle chocolate chips over batter. Bake 3540 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. 9 servings
*Do not use self-rising flour.
Variation:
Chocolate-walnut snackcake.
Substitute 1/3 c miniature chocolate chips and 1/3 c chopped walnuts for the c chocolate chips. Sprinkle over batter.
