Step 1: Find 5 peer-reviewed articles on whether there is a relationship between academic orientation (i.e., grade versus learning orientation) and happiness. That is, does the happiness of grade- oriented students and learning-oriented students differ? Step 2: For each article, collect the following information: a. Results (i.e., Whether there are differences in the happiness of grade-oriented and learning-oriented students). Search in the following sections: Results or Discussion. b. Participants (i.e., Who are they? What is their age? What is their location?). Search in a section called Method. c. Procedure (i.e., How was the information about happiness and academic orientation collected?). Search in a section called Method. Step 3 Compare and contrast the results of the 5 studies. Do they show differences between learning-oriented and grade-oriented students? Do they show no differences between these two groups of students? Then explain differences or similarities by referring to information about participants (b) and procedure (c). Step 4 Write a sentence at the beginning of your literature review about whether the results of the selected studies are all the same (homogeneous) or mixed (not the same).
