Case Scenario Nicole owns a vehicle rental business. She has been successfully running the business for the past 5 years. She rents out a variety of vehicles including cars, four-wheel drive, van and minivan. She has a few clerks and salespeople to assist her in her business. However, not all is as well as Nicole is facing difficulties in tracking her customers and sales information with a paper-based information system Nicole has decided to implement a computer based information system for efficient management of her business. The vehicle rental IS (VRIS) is designed to manage the following process:The clerk registers and records the customer's details into the vehicle rental software. A customer walks into his office and interacts directly with a clerk to rent a vehicle. The clerk uses the renting software to provide quotations based on the customer's need. The customer then chooses the most ideal choice for them. Upon agreeing on the details of the rental vehicle the clerk processes the customer's payment via the vehicle rental software. The transaction information is stored in a vehicle rental database. The information of the new vehicles is recorded into the VR software as they are acquired.
