Step 2:

Now, you will write a second problem statement that focuses on thedesired or future state. Use the questions below to help you write this problem statement:

• Who does it affect? And who does it not affect?
• What does it affect? And what does it not affect?
• How does it affect?
• When is it a problem? When is not a problem?
• Where is it a problem? Where is it not a problem?

Step 3:

Lastly combine your revisedcurrent state and yourdesired futurestate into a single statement. This might take a couple of attempts but stick with it.

Your teachers will be looking for a statement that does the following:

1. Focused on only one Problem
2. One or two sentences long
3. Does not suggest a Solution
