Andrew Ng is currently an adjunct professor at Stanford University Computer Science Department where he is teaching Machine learning, deep learning and AI. As the CEO of the Landing AI, he is the highest rank employee who reports to the board of directors and manages working projects with 2 partners- SaaS solutions and corporate level AI transformation programs. His responsibilities include setting and executing AI's strategies, allocating capital, and building an executive team. He is managing general partner at AI fund, contributing to pools of contacts and clients building 10 working companies in food, nutrition, education, recruiting and other sectors. His responsibilities as Chairman of Woebot Labs Inc and Coursera is leading and creating performance conditions for the board, effective communication with members, leading proposal discussions and agenda for meetings about risk, finance, governance and other working areas. He also makes sure that duties of stakeholders are being conducted properly by linking to the upper management (Chair of the Board (COB): Definition, Duties, and Compensation, 2022).

As a leader in the development of AI for years, Andrew Ng would understand the potential of AI and the impact it can have on the world. Nvidia's "world changing idea" is to use AI to create a new computing platform that can be used to solve some of the world's most pressing problems in sectors like healthcare, food safety, and education.

He's likely to be excited about the possibilities that Nvidia could bring and would be interested in the potential of this platform to create new applications and services that could benefit people around the world. 

 

What would be the business value to Andrew Ng (team, department) if the company reached its "world changing idea" goals faster? (Kathy)

If the goal of "changing the World idea" is achieved faster, for Andrew Ng's team, they will not only increase their revenue, they will also become more competitive, and will most likely create a monopoly in the market for a while, improve their reputation in the market and gain more resource tilt.

The AI area is very competitive at the moment, and most companies want to combine AI with some products to create new products. If Andrew Ng's Team realizes the project of integrating AI and education faster, then they will be the leader of the AI education project, making them more competitive in this market. 

And because they are the first team to develop AI education, they will have a high reputation in the community. If other companies' AI track isn't in education, or if other companies are slower to develop this field than Andrew's Team. Andrew's Team will have a great chance to monopolize the AI education industry. Andrew Ng's Team could face some problems if they don't finish the "world changing idea" on time or late. First of all, they are likely to miss the opportunity, and then the continuous development cost is likely to keep the revenue of the team in a negative state, some planned innovation opportunities may be delayed or canceled, and the reputation of the team will be damaged.

The AI market is highly competitive. If the team fails to complete the research and development of AI education in time, it is very likely that other teams or companies will enter the AI education market first, and Andrew's team will have to compete with them for customers and resources. Unless Andrew's Team has a very attractive role for customers, it will be unable to compete with other teams and finally miss the opportunity, and customers may lose confidence and interest in the team and turn to other teams and R&D.

A possible objection is that he also co-founded Coursera, an online education platform that offers courses in AI, so he may not favor our idea, which could be a competing industry. We also hope to use online education to mitigate the teacher shortage itself. Still, our target audience is narrow as we focus on children, not everyone, and children in economically underdeveloped countries and needing help in the education sector. 

Also, while we can save children and help increase the likelihood that an educated child will lead his or her country to higher economic development in the future, it is difficult to see how we can make a profit. 

Furthermore, we would like to use this education for children who cannot go to school due to child labor. Still, some large companies are keeping their prices low by exploiting child labor, and if he has personal ties to such companies, he may oppose our idea.

Engagement of the stakeholder is crucial for the company for a clear vision and strategic planning(Ireland, 2020). In the initial meeting with Andrew Ng, the company would expect Andrew Ng's commitment towards discovering the shared motivation for a meaningful outcome in the AI industry. To have an open forum for discussion and debate about strategic goals, market planning and active consultation about the AI world changing idea in the sector that he finds can have a bright future( education, healthcare). Allowing enough time for both parties to discuss, understand, layout project milestones and be in contact for effective communication. Company is looking for his interest locking commitment towards building better communities through AI with NVIDIA.

Building a strong relationship with Andrew Ng is crucial for Nvidia as we could collaborate on AI projects and share knowledge with each other to take steps into integrating AI into current world issues that humans may need support in solving. Acknowledging issues many people commonly face, such as lack of educational resources and opportunities, affordable and safe healthcare, and overall safety in many realms of our daily lives. One goal is to create a space where people can be introduced and encouraged to use AI, as many are still intimidated and unfamiliar with how AI can be beneficial to society, as only so many people can work on societal issues in our country. In the absence of human resources in education for example, AI can establish strong connections that can bring groups of people together to work alongside each other, such as fostering educational opportunities to learn where there could be a lack of teachers that could specialize in such topics. AI can also enhance learning opportunities for students, such as facilitating office hours, giving specific feedback or tutoring for assignments, or creating more advanced technology that could specialize in certain topics ("43").
