Students will form discussion groups (3-5 students in a group). Each group will be given 30 minutes to discuss the news article by Sabrina Jonas, "Want to be an ally to Indigenous people? List and unlearn, say 2 community workers" (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/how-can-you-be-a-better-ally-to-indigenous-people-1.6189749). Each group will design an intervention program (e.g., awareness event, indigenous art exhibition, etc.) that encourages connection between the indigenous and non-indigenous communities. Each group will present a summary to the class.
