Study the Order Management System cases study given below which is divided into four parts: (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv).

1. The company has a Sales section, a Technical section and an Administration section. The customer submits computer orders to the company. The Sales section creates build sheets for orders, which specify how a computer should be made up. The Sales section also informs Administration section of orders received and confirms that the associated build sheets have been completed.

2. The build sheets which contain a list of computer parts (e.g. processor type, hard disk type, memory type) are passed onto the Technical section. The Technical section is responsible to make up the computer. The Technical section is to record the completed jobs upon completion. They also submit the faulty reports of computer parts during the make up process.

3. The Sales section prepares dispatch notes when orders, or parts of orders, are ready to be sent out. This is to enable Administration section to create appropriate invoices for its customers and order computer parts from its suppliers. The parts specified on the build sheets are bought in from suppliers. The Administration section send payments to suppliers upon receive the delivery. The Administration section also handles customer after-sales enquiries.

4. The Administration section is responsible to track the part from suppliers when a fault is reported by the customer and Technical section. The customer may report the faults on computers during the warranty period. The Technical section is responsible to submit the faulty report when they make up the computer.
