Question: How would a Facebook board member respond to this argument?

• As a lawmaker, there are many concerns about the privacy of Facebook user's that arise. The first concern as a lawmaker would be dealing with both Facebook and third party users that Facebook sells its users personal information to. Another concern as a lawmaker would be who is in charge of this specific segment that is responsible for this breach and how to correct it. As a lawmaker it is important to make sure the company that we are reviewing has proper regulations and security in line for its users. The next obvious concern would be the invasion of privacy of Facebook users having information being stolen. Not only is it an invasion of privacy, it is an unfair use of power not allowing Facebook users to fully delete their accounts. In the case study it mentions how it takes 90 days for a Facebook user's data to be completely deleted from the database. In a sense, this is a 3 month period where users are unwillingly and unknowingly getting their personal information stolen. Another thing that lawmakers should be concerned about is if hackers or a third party industries install a virus or malware that effects their users. One last concern is what Facebook is willing to do to actually protect their users. With Facebook loosing the trust of millions it makes me question if what rules and regulations Facebook will put into place to protect its users. All in all, a lawmaker most likely is very concerned after the Facebook breach for the privacy of Facebook users.
