Sue and Ryu are married, but going through a rough patch. During their last big fight, Sue decided that she would move out and started divorce proceedings. While the divorce was being processed, Sue hired a listing agent to sell their Chandler home and secretly agreed to sell the house the first buyer the listing agent brought forward. When the house was sold, Sue sent Ryu half the money and told him he had to move out because she had sold the house. The two were still married at this point.
