SUMMARIZE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION INTO A PARAGRAPH OR TWO
Problem Statement
With PTI constantly growing and increasing in the number of facilities, they need a rework of their current information systems. Their current system does not meet the ever-growing needs of future facilities and supercenters.
The problems currently being reviewed and handled are as follows:
-
Creating a centralized reporting structure for all departments to streamline production for all departments. This will ensure a smoother transition between departments for training and promotions as well as general information management. This will also help with membership management throughout each of the facilities to ensure seamless usage at all gyms when clients are traveling.
-
No security system to make clients feel safer should an issue arise.
-
No current online presence for public access.
Project Objectives
-
Implementation of a secured database to store and manage company, employee, and client information.
-
Design and implement a system for clients and staff to manage training information as well as personal information and memberships through a web/application interface.
-
Networking/ Security hardware will also be implemented for the facility, to ensure hardline connections to the internet where workable. Security devices will be stationed throughout the facility to ensure employee and client safety.
-
Wire the facility to ensure proper cabling and code adherence.
Anything not listed in the objectives above may be brought up to Patterson & Wilder for consideration. This, however, does not guarantee that it will be implemented/used.
Performance Measures
As a result of this project, the following performance measures will be implemented:
-
Membership retention shall not fall below 75% during peak season.
-
Minimal downtime due to unscheduled events and failures: 95% uptime.
-
The project has mostly received positive feedback from staff and clients by conducting periodic surveys and using online/in-person feedback (I.e., yelp).
Critical Success Factors
This project will be considered successful if the following conditions are met:
-
The project is completed, tested, and any bugs are resolved before the deadline (Jan 1, 2023).
-
The project stays within the allotted budget.
-
The staff will be trained on the new system by the deadline.
-
PTI expresses that they are happy with project effectiveness.
Deliverables
-
A working information system for both company and consumer level.
-
An 18-month maintenance period begins at the implementation of this system (Jan. 1, 2023).
-
A security system compatible with insurance to lessen overhead.
-
Networking equipment to support security system and employee end devices.
This project will be considered complete when the 18-month maintenance period has expired. Should PTI wish to extend the contract, they must do so within 60 days of the end date of the contract. Failure to do so will result in a $250/day charge until the end of the contract. Upon this end date PTI releases Patterson & Wilder of any responsibility for maintenance and support of the new system.
