Sustainable Construction Case Study Instructions

In this class, we studied the Sustainable Construction Case Study developed by American General Construction (AGC). This case study is about Powers University Campus Life Center Facilities. It is a three story, 115,000 Sf higher education student center. Powers University is in the Southern United States. The project description is on Page 3 of the case study. Because Powers University is interested in sustainability, they established here 3 main objectives:

LEED certificate. The university establishes a minimum LEED certification of Gold with Platinum as the goal for the project.

Low Energy Use Intensity (EUI) with an EUI target for the building of 29, which was significantly below the national average for similar use buildings.

NET Zero Energy, to help the university to move towards the net zero objective.

The Tasks:

First, Answer the 6 questions on Page 13 of the case study.

Second, Write a formal report recommending to Powers University on how they can achieve their project objectives. Note this is a formal, professional report you are the Construction Management Consultant.
