The figure shows a simple sorting system for cubes of different dimensions . Where the
cubes are loaded into the magazine. The decision of the cube size is done via two sensors
S1 and S2 at the magazine lower part (just before pushing the box out).

The sorting algorithm is as follows;
If S1 AND S2 detect the cube then it is defined as long length cube as the distance
between the two sensors adjusted equal to the length of the long cube. Cylinder B
(Normally extended) is retracted to direct the conveyor to position 1.
If sensor S1 only detects the cube, then the system defines it as the small cube, and
it is directed to to position 2.
Operating Problem
The small cubes should be aligned to the direction of the S1 otherwise; no action will be
taken by the sorting station. As the position of the small cube is not guarantee to be
aligned towards S1, it could be slightly moved away towards S2(other direction).
