This assignment assesses your knowledge of actions to be taken for each SDLC step and how they should be applied when implementing a new information system. Explain vendor/contract management. Assignment Instructions: You are the Manager of the HIM Department for a medium sized rural hospital. Currently your release of information function is all performed manually, including the logging, tracking, and billing of requests for record copies. As the number of release of information requests has more than doubled over the past year, it has become difficult to comply with HIPAA requirements in regard to timeliness of responding to these requests, as well as keep track of and follow up on accounts receivable for billed copy charges. Therefore, you have determined it is necessary to automate the processes as much as possible.
