Table of Contents > Module 3: Process Optimization > Module 3: Discussion: SWOT & Process Planning Module 3: Discussion: SWOT & Process Planning There are four key steps to the planning process. These are to analyze operations and environment, generate strategic alternatives, deploy strategies, and measure and adjust. Perform a SWOT analysis to improve a process within your organization or in your personal life. You can use the same project you identified in the other discussion from this module (Discussion: Project Duration based on PERT & CPM) or create a SWOT analysis on a new project or process. Defend your analyses of the different elements of the SWOT analysis. Be sure to include elements associated with a cost-benefit analysis and the ROI of the change. Be specific in your observations for each SWOT quadrant. Then discuss what you would do to ensure all four steps of the planning process are followed. Support your conclusions with facts from the readings and/or video assignments. Link theory to practice in your comments by relating your personal perspective with the information you have read or watched. As you respond to your colleagues' posts, be sure to offer questions and/or suggestions to improve their SWOT analyses. Rubrics
