Muscat Festival $2024$

You have been hired as a developer at Muscat Festival $2024($fictitious name$).$ The Manager of your

company, Mr$.$ Muhammad organised one$-$month $($Four weeks$)$ festival that was held at Qurum Park,

Muscat. He instructed you to prepare and submit a monthly report in Excel worksheet to calculate the

profit of the event. The entrance tickets are categorised into three categories based on the discount:

Senior Citizens, Teenagers and Children.

The discount conditions are as follows:

a$.$ Senior Citizen are entitled of $50\%$ discount on each ticket

b$.$ Teenagers are eligible to get $20\%$ discount on each ticket

c$.$ Children below $8$ years entitled for $70\%$ discount on each ticket. Task $1($b$)$:

i$.$ Compute the Total number of participants in each category who attended the event over the four$-$

week period by applying the appropriate formula in the respected cells.

ii$.$ Determine the average number of participants in each category over the four$-$week period by applying

the appropriate formula in the respected cells.

iii. Compute the Total sales for each category, inclusive of discounts, by applying the appropriate formula

in the respective cells. This involves multiplying the ticket price by the total number of participants in

each category who attended the event over the four$-$week period. iv$.$ Display the remarks of each category by using IF function.

Condition for Remarks:

If a Total sale per category is equal or more than OMR $3000,$ remarks would be $$Excellent sales$,$ If

a Total sale per category is equal or more than OMR $1500,$ remarks would be $$Average sales$,$

otherwise remarks would be $$Poor sales$.$

v$.$ Count the various categories of participants mentioned in the table, i$.$e$.$ Senior Citizen, Teenager and

Children by using the appropriate formula in the respective cell.

vi$.$ Calculate the Maximum sales from the Total sale column by using the appropriate formula in the

respective cell.

vii. Calculate the Minimum sales from the Total sale column by using the appropriate formula in the

respective cell.

viii. Count the number of $$Excellent sales$$ from Remarks column by using the appropriate formula in the

respective cell.

ix$.$ Count the number of $$Poor sales$$ from Remarks column by using the appropriate formula in the

respective cell. Task $1($c$)$:

i$.$ Create a Column graph that will show the Total sales of each Category of participants.

ii$.$ Create a Pie chart that will show the Average visit of participants in each category during the four

weeks
