Restoration Conversion of a Barn using Reclaimed bricks $($mm$)$

The remedial brickwork to the exterior of the development is to be undertaken using

reclaimed bricks but interior work will be done using new bricks. The client is concerned

that the bricks appear to vary in size, but the architect is confident that the variation in

size can be accommodated in the mortar bed, as long as the bricks are within stated

tolerance.

You have been provided with some raw data about clay bricks. This data $($set out below$)$

gives the actual measured lengths of a sample of $50$ clay bricks of nominal length $215mm$

and specified tolerance $+-5mm.$
