Task 1 Team Project Proposal
Submission Date: 30/7/2022 (Sat)
This is the 1st task of this module. Students are expected to produce the PowerPoint slides as a project proposal. Each project team is required to propose a software development project as an application of information system. The software development project could be a web application, desktop application, mobile App or service of information system. Project team should make appropriate assumptions for the proposed scenario and situation.
The PowerPoint slides need to include software development plan, functional modules separation of the software, and the corresponding solutions of each module. It is also expected to cover the team development task aimed at developing the core module of the software. As part of this assessment, students are expected to have completed the following:
- As a team, develop the initial requirements for the core.
- As a team member, contribute to the development of the core.
- As a team, support the project manager to produce a project plan (Gantt chart, Critical path analysis (CPA), allocate resources, baseline it).
- For your chosen role, describe the tasks, the solutions and responsibilities.
- As a team member, collaborate with your team to deliver your software solution.
The PowerPoint slides are expected to include:
- Project background;
- Project plan;
- Work Breakdown Structure;
- Scope of project;
- User Requirements;
- Interface Design;
- Project progress;
- Task allocation;
- Each team members responsibility
The PowerPoint file must be submitted electronically by one of the team members, as single documents in MS PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx) format, through the CMS upload link before 23:59 on the due date. Emailed or paper versions will not be accepted.
