Task 3: Promote understanding across diverse groups This task requires you to demonstrate that you can promote understanding across diverse groups including: where difficulties or misunderstandings occur, consider the impact of social and cultural diversity identifying appropriate people and how to seek assistance when difficulties occur. identifying resources related to imagery using work practices that make environments safe for all Part A: Investigate Preparation This task requires you to: investigate how your service promotes understanding across diverse groups (families, children, colleagues etc.) research and report on strategies that can be used to address issues related to diversity in the workplace. Before commencing the task, you must discuss it with your Workplace Supervisor. You should access your service's Inclusion and Diversity Policy. This task consists of two parts: Part A: Investigate Part B: Report and Research Instructions Using the template provided gather information from workplace colleagues about the strategies used by the service to promote understanding across diverse groups, any barriers that exist and suggested strategies to address any barriers and/or build on existing practices. Ask each workplace employee (educators and support staff) to complete a short questionnaire. You will need to print one survey for each staff member, (try to aim for around 50% collection). Ask any follow-up questions. Collate and summarise responses.
