Please visit Hult International Business School's Blog and read How Cultural Differences Impact International Business in 2017(Links to an external site.).

For your initial post, share personal experiences that you have encountered for each category discussed in the blog (communication, workplace etiquette, and organizational hierarchy). For each category, describe a time you encountered cultural differences in your workplace that were surprising. Explain why you found this encounter so surprising, and discuss how you were able to deal with this encounter.

Discussion Forum Expectations

• Each original response to the question for the week must be 500 words long and specifically reference content in the coursework and textbook for the week. Your original post is due no later than Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. (ET).
• By Sunday at 11:59 p.m. (ET), read the posts your peers have made and reply to at least two individuals with a peer response that is at least 250 words long and one or more of the following types:
  1. agreement with extension,
  2. an alternative perspective with rationale, or
  3. respectful challenge with counterargument.

Both quantity and quality are important considerations when it comes to participation. For example, a message of simple agreement that reiterates what a previous student statedeven if it's in different wordsdoes not constitute participation, because it does not add anything of substance to the discussion.
