Task: Based on the lecture and class discussion on Chapter 08 (Strategic Pay Plans) and Chapter 09 (Employee Benefits and Services), please describe how you would attract and retain employees in your organization as a manager or HR personnel using these concepts. You must use the new knowledge you learned from these chapters/class discussions (NOT from the Internet).

Journal Structure and other instructions:

• You may use any formatting structure that you prefer, including any headings as appropriate. However, your paper MUST be up to an academic standard that is academically acceptable. You may be asked to prove it.
• You may choose to use similar formatting as the last three journals.
• Before marking your paper, I may ask you to meet with me virtually to discuss it. You are required to be available for this should I invite you to meet me. It will be during office hours or during Individual Work time, as stated in the course outline.
• Know what you are writing. Understand your journal. Understand the concepts. If you can not discuss your journal with me in an informed way, it may result in zero.
• You must use the concepts from the book/class discussions.

Critical Thinking: DO NOT make general statements that add no value to your argument. For example, I learned a lot of things, or I had many experiences, or I will follow the rules, this type of statements add no values unless you can back it up logically.

• This is a second-year course. So your writing and thinking must reflect that.

Length: No more than 500 words. Please use all academic writing standards. Make it look like an assignment.

Due Date: Sunday, November 22, 2020, by 11:00 AM. There will be NO exceptions or extensions to this due date and time. Assume that there will be a computer problem all day on November 22, 2020. So plan on submitting it ahead of time. If you choose to wait till the last minute, that is up to you.
